Presenting......

....here are the first pics of our newest member to our family....I went for an ultrasound yesterday to confirm my due date...which is still June 5th, 2008. Bring on the summer baby!!

It was kinda weird seeing the baby at this stage...we didn't get to see Trenton when he was that small.....I didn't need an ultrasound for him...I knew the exact date he was conceived!!! ;0) So it's kinda neat to see the baby at this stage...he/she is SO tiny...my sister-in-law thinks it's a girl and she's been right predicting two other pregnancies...so only time will tell if she's right!!!

I'm JUMPING for joy!!!

Okay, so I participated in the Colourful Christmas Crop this past week on the Savvy N Sassy forum.....I posted a couple challenges and classes myself...and did some of the ones the others had posted!!! Some REALLY cool ideas these ladies come up with, I tell ya!!

Anyways, I did 7 complete projects...not as many as I would have liked but I was busy...orders and such. So, I did what I could. And played a few games!! Lots of fun with the BINGO!!! (I must have it in my blood from my Mamere!!!)

So, with the completed projects you get an entry for the GRAND prize....and it is a GRAND prize.....so I didn't think I'd even have a chance...there were some ladies that had 21 projects done...kudos to them I say!!! I wish I got that many done.

Okay, so even with my 7 ballots, I WON!!!!!!! I was SO excited!!! I can't wait to get my stash, and I mean STASH!!! Thanks SO much Rhea! That is an AWESOME prize!!!!!! Here's a sneak peek into what I get to play with (hopefully) soon!!!!! :D

It'll be like an early Christmas present!!! THANKS again Rhea! I am SO SO SO excited about this!!! :D And congrats to everyone that participated in the crop! I think it was a huge success, with LOTS of completed projects and MANY new ideas to store away in the memory bank!! I'm glad for the inspiration! Thanks ladies! Okay I'm off to drool again!!!

Jason's 31st Birthday Extravaganza

I sent Jason on a Treasure Hunt for his 31st birthday....his birthday is actually Wednesday, but we got together with my family and Jason's family to celebrate his birthday...so, the idea was, he had to follow the clues to lead him to the next one.....some were at a store, some were just at a location......here's the path he followed!

CLUE #1 - We started at home and it lead him to........
Clue #2 - .....Elmira Sports.....thanks to this young gentleman who helped me out!! This clue led him to......
Clue #3 - .....the mailbox at the Elmira Arena.....which led him to............
Clue #4 - .....the Scrapping Turtle in St. Jacobs.......thanks Hannah for helping out!! This clue led us to........

Clue #5 - Peter Hallman Ball Yard.......which then led us to..............

Clue #6 - .....East Side Mario's in Waterloo......Jason used to work here about 6 years ago......and Thanks Michelle!! (our server!).......everyone met us there for lunch......

Thanks for coming to make this a special day everyone!!! My inlaws came to visit from Barrie and Parry Sound.....and my parents joined us! They were all in on the surprise!

Jason's Birthday Dessert!

Clue #7 - Jason's last clue was at the sign at Tim Horton's in town here...which led him home to cake and presents!!

His birthday "cake".....don't mind the Boston Creme on top with a bite out of it.....Jason was a little eager......

Opening Presents....everyone gathered around!!

OH YEAH!!!! And........there was a big announcement too!!!!!

(Take a look at Trenton's shirt!!!!!)

We'll have an addition to the family around June 5th of next year!! We've kept it a secret for a month now!! It was really hard to keep it a secret....but we thought everyone was there.....and it was a good time to let Trenton tell them!!! (EXCEPT IT TOOK A LITTLE LONGER FOR THEM TO CATCH ON THAN WE THOUGHT THEY WOULD.............)

Thanks for coming everyone! I hope you had a great time and we really appreciate you helping celebrate Jason's birthday......

My first guest DT project for November...

Here is my first November guest designer project for Savvy N Sassy...I had lots of ideas with this before I even got in the mail (today was a good mail day!) Here's my altered canvas...thanks for the inspiration of fellow scrapper, Michelle and Donna Downey, the queen of canvases! More to come...stay tuned!

THE JOURNALLING IS AS FOLLOWS: This is a photo of me (the baby), my mom, my Mamere, and my Nanny... my two grandmothers..they are not with us anymore...Mamere passed away on September 19th, 2002...Nanny passed away just this summer, on July 20th, 2007...I miss them both very much. I think about them all the time...I always wear my Mamere bracelet...I've had it on since my wedding three years ago...I had a Nanny bracelet until recently. I lost my bracelet...I was really sad when I realized that...I see these bracelets as my connections with my grandmothers. We didn't always stay as connected as I would have liked. But, I know they loved me and I loved them. Mamere was very sick when she passed away. She had cancer in a big part of her body. She was finally released from her pain on September 19th, 2002. Nanny passed away in my parents' house. I was there when she passed away. It was very beautiful. She had her entire family (Grandpa, Aunt Rosemary, Mom, Aunt Sue, Uncle John) around her. Trenton and I were there too along with my dad. Trenton was SO good...he was only 18 months when she passed. He was very quiet until she was pretty much gone and then just before she passed, he said "Nana"...it was very beautiful. He will always remember his Nana. I'm very grateful for my grandmothers...they helped raise my two parents and I'm very grateful for them because they made me who I am. And for that, I am eternally grateful.

Guest Designer spot...

This has been a good few days! First the sketch profile on the Sisterhood Blog...Today, I got the guest spot for November on the Savvy N Sassy site!!

This is the layout that got chosen...we were supposed to take a photo and use it for inspiration...we could scrap that picture or use another one...I chose to use another one and use the colours for inspiration! The papers and die cuts are from the new Mellow collection from Basic Grey. The ribbon is from Savvy N Sassy. The "fall" is crackle painted so give a different affect.

I'll keep you posted on my completed projects! I'm getting a really cool kit...the Zany Zinnia November kit. Can't wait! The wheels are already turning!!! Thanks again Rhea, Jaklin and Design Team! I hope I don't let you down!!

This is the kit I'm getting!! My challenge is posted already! Check it out!!!

The lovely curls!!

"MOM, PLEASE DON'T TAKE ME TO THAT PLACE...I don't like getting my hair cut...I think it's gonna hurt!!!"

Some from the beginning of the haircut....(he wouldn't let go of me during the whole process so I wasn't able to get any pics of during...you wouldn't want to see them anyways!!!
