Poor Kid...

So my poor son has inherited my klutziness...poor kid! Yesterday when I was working at Mom's, Trenton was walking towards her (who was on the phone with my grandmother), and he tripped on something on the floor (a toy or shoe or something)...and whacked his eyebrow on the leg of Mom's desk chair (METAL LEG)...he was bleeding for awhile and I really thought I'd have to do a run to emerg...but we put a steri-strip on it and that seems to be holding it together...he fell asleep right after it happened (below pic)...it happened right around his nap time and I was doing everything I could to keep him awake but to no avail...

He seemed okay after his 2-1/2 hour nap...he slept well last night too...and thank goodness he hasn't found the steri-strip on his eye yet cuz it needs to stay on till it's healed....it makes bath time interesting!
This is this morning at breakfast...he's fine...he's making all kinds of noise...he's back to his normal self...he's eating well....I don't think there was any concussion...if he can't read in a few years...it will all be my fault!!! ;0)

I am so happy!!

Trenton started feeding himself with a spoon this week.....he's done it before...just not on a regular basis!! But it's been two nights in a row....it gets pretty messy but it makes me happy!!!

You have to listen VERY CLOSELY to the video....there's a part where I ask him if it's good and closer to the end......well, just watch and you see! (It's really cute!!)

One more milestone in his journey of life!!! My little baby is growing up!!!!

Elgin Fraser

Pictured here: Elgin Fraser and Mike Fisher (Ottawa Senators - NHL Team)

I don't know if any of your hubbies (or if you) watch TSN on a regular basis... but there was a very touching story on last night about a wonderful little boy....his name is Elgin Fraser...he was three years old and LOVED watching the Ottawa Senators play hockey....this kid had it in his blood....kinda reminds me of Trenton....hockey stick in hand at all times...this child touched a lot of the Sens players.... but at the age of only nine months old, he developed neuroblastoma, a rare childhood disease that affects the nervous system....

The full story is here: http://www.canada.com/ottawacitizen/news/local/story.html?id=00ec1d71-5e17-4274-822e-19bb194c3a8d&k=83150

He was such a beautiful little boy...he would have made it to the NHL if he had the chance...but he's in a much better place now....free from pain, chemo, radiation, blood tests, everything....he's definitely earned his wings....

I am creating a scrapbook for the family so if you'd like to contribute a page, please email me and we'll work out the details!!! Thanks for your help!!!
